Picasso’s off to Myer’s annual charity auction

Look at our Picasso vintage french poster all framed up and off to Myer for their Precious Metal Ball. This is Myer’s annual fund raising event to raise money to support those most in need and we’re thrilled to be able to donate this wonderful poster as an auction item.

This exquisite vintage poster is Picasso’s drawing of a peace dove with an olive branch in its beak, with two human feet. The text reads: ‘Picasso 28.12.61 Grapus 28.12.87 Avril 1987. Pour la Paix, pour le Désarmament: Grapus et I’Imprimerie Marchand’, translated as For Peace, For Disarmament.

Myer and the Myer Community Fund are focused on ‘supporting and empowering women and strengthening families’, with a strong focus on supporting women and children impacted by family violence. Helping to break the cycle of family violence in Australia is a key focus of Myer’s program. Myer and the Myer Community Fund support three national charity partners, and also support over 55 local charities working in the family violence area through our store network nationally.
